修了に向けて

1月31日，修士論文の提出日でした。

2月3日には全数教での発表，11日は最終発表など，まだまだやることと改善することがありますが，最後までがんばれたらなと思います。

私，いつも計画的にやろう！と思っていても，結局最後にバタバタしてしまいます。

これをなおさねばと思っているのですが，思っているつもり，どまりです。
どうしましょう。

 

2月には，高阪さんがザンビアに，イマキュレーさんがルワンダへと調査へ向かいます。

少し研究室が寂しくなりますが，それぞれ日本や色んな国で頑張ってる姿に，私も便乗して頑張ります～！

最近のデジカメ事情3

最近のデジタルカメラは安い！
1万円を切る割にいいカメラが結構出ています。

それとは対照的に高級カメラもよく出ています。
今日はそんな高級の中で、私が一番おすすめの一台を紹介したいです。

その機種は
富士フィルムX‐E1
10万くらいするのですが，最近出ているミラーレス一眼では圧倒的な描写力を誇ります。
一眼レフみたいに持ち歩きが邪魔でもないし、ついてくるレンズもいい。
そして見た目がかっこいい！

今年が始まって3週間がたちましたが、今年もよろしくお願いいたします。

The Lesson from Playing Ski in Japan

As foreign students from tropical country, there is one important moment which cannot be just lingered: the winter. As much as other people from tropical country such as Indonesia, I expect the falling of snow. For those who come from four seasons countries, it may be strange that the coming of snow becomes one of attraction.  But for me, this is a moment in life that I can hardly find in my country.

In the winter last year, me and some of Indonesian communities were playing ski in Kotobiki. Before, I never knew how difficult it is to walk in the snow with ski shoes and ski blades until that day. I thought it was easy as I had seen in televisions, where even children can move, zigzagging and even racing with ski shoes and blades. Me and my friend rent the shoes at that time, but when I looked at the shoes I was surprised at that time as I look at the size of the ski shoes. It was so big and so heavy compared to my daily shoes. It was even very difficult to make a step with those shoes.

Though it was so difficult to move, I decided to try the ski blades. Holding the sticks tight to my hands I tried to make a move with the blades. It was very slippery. I fell to the ice many times, and every time I fell it was very hard to stand up. I have to call people around to help me fit my shoes in the blades and stands up. I happened on and on.

One time I was able to move more than 50 meters but, after that I could not make a turn and hit some trees.   After that I call again people to help me stand and fits my shoes. After three or four hours, I still could not make progress. I finally got exhausted and decided to go home. From that moment, I learn one thing. Playing ski seems to be easy. Yet in fact, it is very hard when you have to stand in someone else’s shoes.

銀婚式

先日、帰省していた愛媛から広島へ戻ってきました。

宇和島出身なのですが、両親に車で松山観光港まで連れて行ってもらうことにしました。
そこから船で広島まで戻ろうと考えていましたが、父がお好み焼きを食べてみたいと言ったことが発端で、そのまま広島に来ることになりました。

いつもは来るのが面倒臭いと言って、全然広島に来たことがなかったので、僕の運転でしまなみ海道を通ってきました。
しかも、ちょうど結婚して25周年だったので、銀婚式ということで呉に一泊させました。
呉に一泊させたのは、呉から松山観光港まで船が出ているので、それに車を乗せて帰れば楽ちんだと考えたからです。
しかし、呉に着くと父は「明日は、しまなみ海道で帰るぞ」と言っていました。
父は頑固なので、こうなるともう誰からの意見も受け付けません。
「何のために呉にホテルとったん」と聞いても
「わしが運転するけん大丈夫」の一点張りでした。

食事のときは、いつも何を食べても、「まずい」と言う父がお好み焼きを食べて、「うまいのー」と言っていました。
母はお好み焼きにソバが入ってるのは嫌だと言って、ぺちゃんこのお好み焼きを食べていました。

修了式のときも来ると言っていましたが、たぶん面倒臭いと言って来ないと思います。
難しい両親です。

2013 for Me

It’s the start of a new year, 2013. This year will be special to me in many aspects. Mainly is because I will be finishing my master degree. This will open up new avenues and opportunities in my professional and social life. Most important is the fact that I have to focus my energies to writing my thesis. Already, I have started developing interest in other areas of education other my prime focus. This goes to show that in some way my stay at Hiroshima University will develop me professionally. I am just hoping to enjoy the remainder of my time in Japan.

きのうのことです。Ｓさんが「全国数学教育学会誌」を片手に、くだらない問題をだしておりました。

　「数学教育における認識論研究の展開と・・・・・」は誰の論文か？

　「後期中等教育における・・・・」は？

　

Ｗさんと私は面白半分にこの問題に答えておりました。がしかし・・・・・・・・・・・。

Ｗさんの知識量たるや半端なく、多分20問中19問、Ｗさんが答えていました。極め付けは、論文のタイトルではなく文の一部分のみで誰の文章なのかあててしまったのです。

Bangladesh achieved tremendous success in enrollment of girls at the primary schools

 

Bangladesh remains to score good grades in achieving the Millennium Development Goal (MDG) of gender parity in education by 2015, with the movement of more girls than boys attending primary schools accelerating recent years. Early estimates for the accounting year that ended March show an enrolment ratio of 52:48 favoring girls, which is consistent with the trend since 2010 when girls overtook boys in primary school enrolment. Not only had the enrolment girls’ students also achieved better performance than boys in the primary completion examination 2012.

 

"Eliminating gender disparity in primary education by Bangladesh, recognized worldwide, is the result of strong political commitment," recruiting more female teachers, involving non-government organizations (NGOs), and paying out cash subsidy are among interventions that helped turn around the situation of a decade ago when schooling for girls was unthinkable in parts of Bangladesh because of social and religious barricades.

 

One of the big reasons for the better performance of girls than boys is primary school teachers’ recruitment policy

Government of Bangladesh changed for primary school teacher recruitment policy which was issued in August 1983. This policy was followed until 1990 when the revised recruitment rules, incorporating a 60 percent quota and lower qualification for female teachers, were established and published. The present recruitment rules allow a male candidate must have graduation degree from a College/University. A female candidate with a Senior School Certificate (SSC), and a minimum standing of a 'Second Division Pass', can apply for a primary school teaching post. An SSC is obtained after the completion of 10 years of schooling. In 1991 the government revised the requisite qualifications for the female candidates to attract more female teachers to the profession.
