After staying in Japan for one year I, on 4th October,
2012 headed to my country Zambia. It was a long journey but thank God I
travelled safely. The plane touched down as scheduled and my family was on hand
to welcome me. It was very emotional for my children who could not understand
why I had been away from them for so long. The weekend that followed was spent
bonding and sharing of stories from both ends.
On the Monday that followed 8th October, 2012 I went
to pay a courtesy call at David Kaunda National Technical High School which is
my work place. I met the Head Teacher and most of the Teachers who gave me a
warm welcome. After that I ventured to do what I set out done. It was
challenging to get people in offices even when with appointments because of
National Examinations that were been carried out.
Days passed and it came that I had to get back to
Japan. It is never easy to part with the people you love, but it was inevitable
that this had to pass. The day was 12th November, 2012 when I embarked on the
journey back to Japan.
I arrived to what I would consider my second home 15th
November, 2012. The day that followed my colleagues and friends organised a
wonderful welcome back party which made me feel at home away from home. All in all
it was a good and fruitful trip.
